Here at Settle and Giggleswick, we have two enthusiastic teams of bellringers. Some members ring at both churches and even further afield. The churches at both Settle and Giggleswick each have a ring of eight bells.
The bellringers ring every Sunday morning before the main Sunday morning worship (see service times). We ring at other times too to mark festivals and special days in the church’s year, for weddings and for significant events.
Each church meets weekly for practice:
– Giggleswick, Thursdays, 7.30 – 9.00 pm
– Settle, Fridays, 7.30 – 9.00 pm

NOTICE: Additional Bell Ringing
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th July 2026
On the weekend of 11th & 12th July there will be extra ringing on Settle cells as part of the church’s Family Rail Fest event.
- Saturday 11th, 09:30-10:00. Ringing to open day 1 of the event.
- Sunday 12th, 09:45-10:15. Ringing to open day 2 of the event. This will replace the usual Sunday morning service ringing.
- Both days, 11:00-12:00 & 13:00- 14:00. Intermittent ringing, of a few minutes at a time, as part of ringing demonstrations.

Settle bells are usually rung from 19:30 to 21:00 on Fridays and from 10:30 to 11:00 on Sundays. If you would like to receive an email notification when Settle bells will be ringing at times other than this, please send an email to settlebells+subscribe@googlegroups.com.
