The Gardening Team at Giggleswick is made up from a voluntary group of people from the community. Meeting on a Monday, they keep the grounds around St Alkelda’s church in excellent condition for when people come to tend graves, visit the ancient church or just to spend some time in the peace and quiet. 

High on the list of priorities is the conservation of wildlife and maintaining diversity. As such, areas of the churchyard are encouraged to grow to help provide both food and shelter for insect and animal life.

Over the years the Gardening Group has provided great fellowship and friendship for the volunteers who attend, giving them a sense of purpose and achievement.
